As 2016 has come to an end, it is time to sum up some of our great results and adventures of the last year! First, a big THANK YOU to everyone who was part of our great year!! <3
So here are some facts and figures about my own dogs & the dogs that I've had the pleasure to handle regularly during 2016:
MultiCh. Twilight Star's Part Of My Life- "Tosca"
Our veteran lady had a fantastic year. She enjoyed to be back in the ring to the fullest! Tosca was shown 12 times in veteran class this year.
Everything started in March. It was the first time I showed one of my own dogs at the worlds most prestigious dogshow- CRUFTS in Birmingham. It was definitely a dream come true when our "Queen-Tosca" was "reserve" (Nr.4) in a class of 24 bitches!! Thanks again to my special friends Mercedes, Eirin & Hans Ole for driving Tosca all the way to Birmingham for me!!
In Summer we participatet at the European Dogshow in Brussels where Tosca was just one step away of the precious title. She became 2nd in a lovely veteran class.
At ALL 10 other shows Tosca won her class and also BEST VETERAN OF BREED. She went twice all the way to BEST IN SHOW VETERAN at Clubshows. At the International Dogshow in Aarau she won BEST OF BREED among a lovely entry!
For a "special project" Tosca was entered in champion class again for some Swiss shows after she finished the Swiss veteran title. Tosca was placed 1st or 2nd on four out of 5 shows where she was entered in champion class. At the Retriever Show in Montricher she even ended the day as best bitch & BOS.
All in all Tosca could add 6 more titles to her collection during 2016:
- Swiss Veteran Champion
- German Veteran Champion VDH
- German Veteran Champion DRC
- Austrian Veteran Champion*
- VDH Europa Veteranensiegerin-16
- VDH Frühjahrs-Veteranensiegerin-16
I really adore this special girl and hope she will be with us for many more years! <3
Ch. Almanza Get A Grip- "Miles"
Miles became daddy of two more litters during 2016. It is a pleasure to see his progeny growing up. I'm very pleased with them so far and the owners of his puppies seems to be so too :) Some of the puppies have already been shown successfully.
Miles himself was shown only lightly in 2017 but still achieved some great results! He won BOS at a German Retriever Club Show, became Insubria Winner- 16 and therefore he also won the last CACIB needed for his INTERNATIONAL SHOW CHAMPION*. He finished the year with a BEST OF BREED in Austria & made one step more towards his next title.
Ch. Rudskog's November Rain- "Noris"
Our Norwegian boy Noris had a calm year. He was at shows only at two weekends this year. On the weekend in Germany he won his last german CAC and therefore he is now also GERMAN CHAMPION VDH.
The second show weekend he spent with my dear friend Maria in Sardinia. There he could make one step closer to his International Show Champion title.
Noris also became a daddy this year. Seven lovely boys where born in Germany in January. Other offsprings of Noris had been successful on working tests during this year. Keep up the good work dear owners! <3
Almanza Secret Of Success- "Tian"
Tian.... our little baby... our big hope for the future!
A highlight of this year was for sure the arrival of this special little Swede. I'm so proud to have him and it seems that he likes the shows as much as I do. He was shown four times in puppy class and he became BEST PUPPY OF BREED three times!
Watch out for him in 2017! :D
Ch. Camwood Well Done- "Donna"
Andrea's special girl Donna and me had a fantastic year in the showring! She started her amazing journey by winning best bitch in Montricher. The weekend after I showed her in Dortmund. She won best bitch with CACIB & Crufts Qualification both days at two biggest shows in Germany! In May she was on a roll as she won another CACIB and best opposite in Saarbrücken.
In October we went to the biggest Italian show – the Insubria Winner. Donna won BEST OF BREED with another CACIB plus the title INSUBRIA WINNER-16.
In November Donna finished her first three Champion titles by winning CACs in Karlsruhe and Geneva.
All in all Donna won numerous CACs in different countries, 5 CACIB's and 7 new titles this year:
- Swiss Champion
- Swiss Show Champion
- German Champion VDH
- VDH- Europasieger-16
- VDH- Frühjahrssieger-16

MultiCh. Sweet Macchiato Z Grodu Hrabiego Malmesbury- "Mitch"
The liver boy Mitch, also owned by Andrea Gmür Mautz, had a marvelous year too! He won reserve CACIB at Germanys most prestigious Show, the VDH Europasieger Show - so close to the title. The day after he did it and won CACIB, VDH-Frühjahrssieger-16 and BEST OF BREED. But this was only the start... He won CACs in Austria, finished both Swiss and both German titles easily and won two more BEST OF BREEDS in Switzerland. One of them was achieved at the biggest Retriever Clubshow of Switzerland, the Christmas Show in Olten. There he has beaten over 80 Flatcoats. To top it off he won BEST COUPLE IN SHOW together with his sweet granddoughter "Sally"- Camwood Zally Copper Pearl.
Ch. Xanthos Nimbus - "Dancer"
Dancer, my wild Golden friend... <3 He is owned by Ulrich und Verena Zingg.
This year he finished his first champion title. He became champion of Germany by winning the class in Winnenden where he later also won BEST OF BREED.
Delphinium Voulez-Vous - "Floyd"
Floyd, Lucia Scarpa’s special boy was shown by me for the first time this year. He opened his Swiss title at the Swiss Clubshow in Burgdorf. Floyd travelled with us to the European Dogshow in Brussels where he was placed 4th in a lovely intermediate class. The day after we stopped in Germany for participating at a Retriever Show in Lich. Floyd was showing his socks off and won BEST OF OPPOSITE among many lovely Flatcoats.
IntCh. Ch. EUW-14 Dakota Spirit Kippari - "Ulisse"
The Italian boy Ulisse I showed for the first time in Montricher (CH) where he went all the way to the RESERVE BEST IN SHOW. Later in November he became SWISS SHOW CHAMPION in Geneva. Ulisse is owned by Vittoria Ardino.
Dakota Spirit Into The Wild - "Chaos"
Chaos is owned by Vittoria Ardino as well. He joined his big brother "Ulisse" on the "Swiss tour". In Montricher he won BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW! In Geneva he started the Swiss title.
Ch. Twilight Star's U Got The Look - "Guana"
It was a lot of fun to be back in the ring with this lovely liver girl, owned by Angela Lemberger. We made her way up to the Swiss Champion and Swiss Show Champion this year in Aarau.
Nicht mit mir! vom Schloss Hellenstein - "Bonny"
Bonny, the Cocker Spaniel, owned by Jacqueline Läderach, was shown by me at the Double Show in Aarau. She won BEST JUNIOR OF BREED both days and on Saturday she went all the way up to BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW (all breeds).
